TOP FOUR ESSENTIAL WATERCOLOR PEN

TIPS

1: These are not gel pens, felt tips, oil paints or any more opaque medium. They work in a completely different way. You need far less paint than you think. Do not attempt to “color in” your subject. Use the brushes sparingly to create the foundation of what you wish to paint by sketching out the colors of your design, starting with the lightest colors first. Then use the blending brush and water to fill the colored areas.

2: Use the right paper. Chromatek Tutorial Pads use the finest quality 300 gsm, cold pressed, acid free artists paper.

3: Use the whiteness of the paper as the highlights in your painting, work sparingly and know when to stop!

4: Patience and practice. Make lots of mistakes and enjoy yourself. Don't become frustrated if things go wrong. Watercolor painting is a hard won skill. But dedicate time and passion to it and with our help you'll be producing beautiful results in no time.
